FoundHer House, a co-living space designed exclusively for women, aims to challenge the male dominance prevalent in the burgeoning field of artificial intelligence and the broader startup ecosystem. Established in May, this house brings together eight ambitious women, each pursuing her own tech startup.
A Supportive Community for Female Founders
The concept is straightforward: reduce living expenses by sharing a home while fostering a collaborative environment where women can build their companies. The residents, ranging in age from 18 to 21, are immersed in the dynamic world of Silicon Valley. They spend their days coding, strategizing, and networking— all while supporting each other.
As Miki Safronov-Yamamoto, the youngest member and a rising sophomore at the University of Southern California, explained, the group frequently discusses practical details like presentation length and audience expectations. Ava Poole, 20, who is developing an AI agent to streamline digital payments, and Chloe Hughes, 21, who’s building an AI platform for commercial real estate, are just two of the other residents tackling complex problems with innovative solutions. Safronov-Yamamoto herself is focused on an AI startup that detects medical billing errors, demonstrating the breadth of their ambitions.
