Sony is injecting vibrant color into the PlayStation ecosystem with its new Hyperpop Collection. The line includes redesigned DualSense wireless controllers and console covers for the PS5, featuring striking red, green, and blue gradient finishes.

Neon Aesthetic Inspired by Gaming Culture

The color scheme, officially dubbed techno red, remix green, and rhythm blue, is a direct nod to the aesthetic of RGB lighting commonly found in gaming setups. According to Sony’s design team, the gradient effect transitions from black to a bright neon, providing a bold visual upgrade.

“A seamless gradient wraps around the front and back of the DualSense, finished in a high-gloss coat that makes the colors pop more than ever,” explained Sae Kobayashi, a member of Sony’s Color, Material, and Finish team. The console covers echo this design, incorporating a subtle translucent effect.
