It’s a weird feeling.
You walk away from a coffee shop with a laptop tucked under your arm and you just know it costs three hundred bucks instead of a thousand. Nobody judges. Nobody knows.
Right now Apple is dumping this MacBook Air for $344.99. That’s the refurbished price tag. Regular price? Forget it, usually sits around $1,299. The deal lives while supplies breathe their last.
Why do we buy these things anyway.
Because carrying a brick is exhausting. This one isn’t a brick. It’s light. Airy. But it doesn’t lose its edge just because it weighs next to nothing.
You want speed. It has the guts to run your tabs. All of them. The 8GB of memory keeps things snappy and that 512GB SSD is huge. That’s actual room for files, photos, that video of your cat you’re embarrassed by. Touch ID locks the door on prying eyes. One thumb scan. You’re in.
The screen looks good too. A 13.3-inch Retinal display that makes pixels disappear. Intel Iris Plus graphics handle the heavy lifting and True Tone Tech shifts colors to save your retinas from burning out during late night binges. Backlit keys mean you can type in the dark like a hacker who actually gets work done.
Here’s the catch though.
It’s not perfect.
The label says “Grade B refurbished.” Which sounds fancy but really just means it has scratches. Maybe some scuff marks on the case. It’s lived a life before yours. Normal wear and tear. The machine itself works fine. Perfectly fine, even. If you look away from the dented corner it looks like new.
Does a scratched chassis ruin your soul. Probably not. Especially when the price drops by nearly $1000.
Mashable ran this ad a lot. They wanted your phone number for spammy deal alerts. We can skip that part. Just take the deal if the stock holds up. Prices wiggle on StackSocial so move fast if the box looks acceptable.
Grab it while the counter ticks. Or don’t. Keep the cash. Either way works.
